HU / HA / HY Fittings: Designed for 1 & 2 Wire Hydraulic Hose.
HL Fittings: Can be used on various braided 1 and 2 wire hoses as well as Suction Hoses.
HL series can be used on 3,000 PSI light duty spiral hose SAE 100r9.
HL series is not designed for all Imperial Eastman crimpers.
HW Fittings: Designed for 4,000 PSI Skive Style 4-Wire hydraulic hose.
JJ Fittings: Designed for Spiral Hose up to 6,000 PSI. Skive style fittings only.
What is Skiving?
The process of removing the rubber cover of a hydraulic hose to be used with Skive Style Crimp Fittings.
Skiving provides a better hose assembly.
This practice was a common practice prior to the 1980's.
Skiving is still used for many High Pressure hoses at the OEM Level for ID's 1" and larger.
